photo of a homeless woman with her pet dog.Approximately 10 percent of the Phoenix homeless have a pet.   These pets provide comfort, loyalty, and support. There is no judgment, just deep and unconditional love.  Many homeless give up their own food for their pets. We believe that nobody should have to choose between eating and feeding their pet. The goal of this project is to provide pet food to the homeless. By doing so, we will provide nutritional support for the animals, and eliminate the need for the people to go without food just to keep their pet fed.

As well as passing out the pet food in parks around Sunnyslope, we also donate pet food to the North Mountain Christian Assembly Church's Food Pantry for the Homeless.
