By the grace of God, AZ Furry Friends Rescue began March 1, 2010 as a foster-based, all breed, cat and dog rescue.  We have established partnerships with Petco Foundation and Petsmart Charities as well as through Arizona Humane Society, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, Pinal County Animal Care and Control, and Apache Junction Animal Control.  As of June 2016, we have rescued over 1,500 cats and dogs, and gave them a new hope on life with their forever families.  We couldn’t have done this without our dedicated volunteers whom we are so very grateful to have help us.

We established the Homeless People’s Pet Project in January 2012, distributing pet food to the homeless people through the North Mountain Christian Assembly in Sunnyslope, bagged and labeled by Girl Scout Troops of Fountain Hills.  Our long term goals are to expand the Homeless People’s Pet Project to other areas around the Valley, sponsor a feral colony, and set up a community spay/neuter program.

We do all this for the love of cats and dogs, and to bring people and pets together.
